MCEM collaboration with Canadian CentreOntario Government announces Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy and MCEM collaborationThe Ontario Government is investing $150,000 to support scientific collaboration between the Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy (CCEM), at McMaster University and the Monash Centre for Electron Microscopy. Researchers from both universities will share knowledge, ideas and resources, including their powerful aberration-corrected and monochromated microscopes, which are amongst the highest resolution instruments in the world. The Ontario Minister of Research and Innovation, John Wilkinson, made the announcement at Monash University, where he took part in an event to celebrate the partnership and sign a memorandum of understanding. The Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy is one of the world’s leading research centre’s in electron microscopy, particularly in the area of electron energy loss spectroscopy and its application to the study of materials.
